  24. I've had problems getting the results I want with ripples as well.  
  25. What I'd really like to see in Lightwave is something like the wave 
  26. source objects in Aladdin.  In Aladdin you can position any number 
  27. of wave sources in your scene.  Each wave source has its own 
  28. parameters (frequency, amplitude, falloff, etc.) that can be 
  29. animated over time.  The wave source positions can also be animated 
  30. over time.  Each object in your scene has an animatable wave 
  31. sensitivity parameter that tells how sensitive that object will be 
  32. to wave disturbances.

  34. In earlier versions of Aladdin the waves acted as bump (surface 
  35. normal) disturbances.  I believe the current version also allows 
  36. waves to change the actual geometry of the objects.  Needless to
  37. say, you can produce some incredible effects with this system.

  39. How about it Allen?  Any chance you could give us Aladdin-like wave 
  40. capabilities in Lightwave?
